School-based curriculum

HTY has a school-based English curriculum. It aims to provide students with learning experiences to increase their language proficiency for study, work, leisure and personal enrichment. On top of developing students’ knowledge, skills, values and attitudes, it also promotes students’ lifelong learning so as to enhance their personal and intellectual development, cultural understanding and global competitiveness.
For lower primary school students, we have a PLPR/W Programme. This programme offers students an opportunity to integrate all language skills, with a focus on reading and writing, to make language learning comprehensive and full of fun!
For upper primary students, we also have a DTS programme in which our native English speaking teachers help us promote our reading and speaking skills through exploring our Chinese culture.
